The Distribution Planning solution plans deployment of inventory in order to keep overall inventory level low and maintain high fill rate of Customer orders. The Key features of Distribution Planning include:
- Provide more accurate deployment requirement calculation considering current inventory levels, inbound orders, outgoing orders, and production plan.
- Suggest economical and feasible transportation mode (e.g. truck, inter-modal or rail) for each deployment requirement considering available inventory at manufacturing plant, lead times of different transportation modes and the due dates of the deployment requirements.
- Build loads to fully utilize the equipment capacity.
